Am I doing it wrong if my volume is not at zero before initializing the CC-1?

Recommended Posts

New CC-1 user here! The instruction states to set the volume at 0 and then gradually turn it up until the green signal light goes on.

However, when I was doing it, I already had it somewhere under my max clean volume.
I initialized the CC-1 and the green signal light would go on and I would just hit read and adjusted my HPF on the amp until the blue calibrated light goes on.

Is it ok to do it this way? It won't set my frequency at some weird number?

I'm assuming the instruction just says to have it at 0 so that users don't break their equipment by turning the CC-1 on and go into a giant clipped signal...

Thanks in advanced!
