I buy the best we can get locally. I've got my Digital Designs Z series amps on the way and T40001 Rockford sitting on my floor for a rainy day, they're a lovely amp!

On topic though, loading down to 1ohm will certainly prove whether or not your fuse is up to the task. :)

ill prolly refuse it when i change it to one ohm

the amp can take 160 amps so wut should i fuse it at?

Ouch bud, i wouldnt run 1000 watts with 4 gauge wire but thats just me. Id go with a 100amp fuse.

stop fighting u 2 im glad ur both helping me

both equations are rough estimates technically. either way the amp is way off the power i need

so ima run it at 1 ohm (and it is stable at 1 ohm deafdreamz) supposed to be 2300 but its more like 1600

1600??

i thought that this amp put out at least 2000 rms at 1 ohm

1 guy tested an A3000 on term pro or something and said it was only putting out 1300 watts, but I have seen numerous bench tests saying 1900 and up...I guess it all depends on the one you get. Maine were drawing a ton of power. I have an Iraggi 280 amp alt. a red top and 2 HC800's and I would still get voltage drop to the low 13's.

My System:

Pioneer AVH-P3200BT

4-Dayton 7 inch reference series (front doors)

8-Onkyo 3/4 inch tweeters (dash)

1-Sundown Audio 100.4D (mids/highs)

2-18" BTL's (for now)

Crescendo 3kwp (for sale)

Complete rebuild coming soon...

Wow I'm seeing a lot of uneducated posts in here. Somebody needs to by a clamp meter and learn to do some real math. I've clamped my Sundowns and seen 320a of current draw without blowing the 160amps worth of fuses. Fuses can take bursts for more than their rating without blowing. Anytime you calculate an amps actual output using its input #s you must calculate efficiency. You find out efficiency by clamping the amplifier, getting the real input and output #s, and then doing the math. Average efficiency for class d amplifiers @ 1ohm is around 70%. I know this because I've actually tested different amplifiers and calculated the results. All the guessing in here is a waste.
