I'm not looking for a super gamer, just something that will keep up with a lot of downloads and internet usage (SMD in particular) Total will be 1300 after taxes....graduation present ftmfw...

For what you are needing it for I think that that looks great!

Nice big drive for all your "downloads".... what ever those may be. =P

And I personally like Dell, they have good cheap systems for the average person.

The Family's Dell Sucks Balls compared to my HP

and his is a work laptop- costs MUCH more than mine.

i got my dv6000 for ~800$ and have kept up with 1500$ Dells and HP and 2,000-2,500$ mac Pros

(generally kept up, they do have some stuff on me but for general computing not much)

kool well I guess I will order it tomorrow... Now I finally get to watch blu ray that isn't green (my ps3 does that, and I have to wait till best buy gets the 80 gig one before they will replace it since the 60gb was discontinued)

In all honesty I don't know why he is getting it for me...I owe him like a thousand dollars for helping me with my car and insurance during my job switch....guess he knows I'm good at paying back.... LOL I wouldn't get me a compy if I were him ...
