Joe X Posted November 5, 2017 Report Share Posted November 5, 2017 Group delay is one important parameter to watch for sound quality performance in a box design, cone excursion as well. Here's group delay for the 13W7 AE a ) 2.375 net b ) 2.8 net tuned to 30 Hz: Very little increase in group delay as you can see, also very little effect on cone excursion to rated power due to increase in net volume so no concerns there either. So I'd say you can do up 3 net and tune as low as needed without creating any significant distortion issues with this driver, it will play louder and lower.
