Jhensley209
Does anyone know the recommended port area per foot for 6.5" subwoofers? I heard it was supposed to be less but not sure. I have 6 of the dd 506s and I'm trying to design an octoport box for the I just want to get the port area and port area per foot right
Joe X
On a box which is 0.5 cubic feet per driver I would do 8 square inches per driver 7 being the bare minimum which would let you stay below 30 m/s of vent airspeed, this is also assuming you are going to push full rated power to each of them and that you are tuning below or at 38Hz
Jhensley209
Even if I'm doing octoport?

Undersizing your port cheats you out of output, don't do it.
