ahermanowicz Posted December 2, 2017 Author Report Share Posted December 2, 2017 2 hours ago, reedal said: when you had it wired originally, red-red, yellow-yellow, were those wires heat shrinked/protected from coming into contact with each other? it seems that your red (currently connected to the HU's yellow 12v constant) is the ignition wire, which is why your HU is not saving time/language, etc. the only reason it wouldn't have been working as an ignition when it was red-red/yellow-yellow would be that those wires were contacting each other previously. I have to recheck it but I only used the 18-22g butt connectors. When I inspected the wires originally I didn’t see any areas where they were making any contact to eachother. But wouldn’t the memory wire being disconnected also make it where the HU doesn’t remember the preset channels? Cause the channels are still remaining where I originally set them, just the time and date keeps coming up Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
