06RTCharger
Preparing my Legatia L2SE dash speakers "harness". They didnt come with any push terminals, just the lil tap to either use spade terminals or solder on some wires. I went with this... Slipped on some adhesive lined heatshrink to a short strip of speaker wires. The tried to bend the end of the exposed wire slightly so that its snug with the shape/curve of the tab. Tinned the speaker tab and also tinned the wire first. Using the solder that has AG silver in it. Bonded them together. Heatshrunk over it. 06RTCharger
I used the quick disconnects that Mark of CarAudioFabrication recommended a while back. They work great, im just not skilled with soldering things lol. Shits hard to do with no "helping hands" gadget thing. I hold the wire with one hand, the other part being soldered laying on the table, solder iron in the other hand, solder roll being fed into the work with my mouth. I really need to get one of those helping hands things. Added my lil touches to it ? One side done. You can see the male connector there below. 06RTCharger
After making the harness i didnt put them in till way way way later. But then i finally got it. Made these lil adapter plates for the L2SE out of ABS plastic. Also because i didnt have my amps or anything besides a headunit installed, i was just running these L2SE off the deck, off the stock wire and its stock plug from the stock dash speakers. So i got the stock adapter harness and added the quick disconnect to it. So stock wire plugs into the adapter harness, adadpter harness into the L2SE. Mounted into the adapter plates. 06RTCharger
Pluged my lil adapter harness into the stock plugs. Then the quick disconnects connected. Thats how they look finished and mounted. The connection is temporary till i run my own wires with my amps.

06RTCharger
Then to make adapter plates for the mids. First i make a copied thin peice of abs on the router with the stock speaker and then one with the L6SE. Then i line them up how i want them ontop of eachother using doublestick template tape. Then tape those down to a thicker piece of ABS plastic.
06RTCharger
Came out nice. Thick piece is on the top, duplicated that for the other door.
06RTCharger
Copied the hole placement of the stock speakers then test mounted the plates. Fit good. Then cut out the hole for the speaker in the plates and mounted the speakers on the plates. You can see the new sets VS the stock set
06RTCharger
Using stock wires so im hooking up another one of those adapter harnesses but much easier, no soldering or heatshrink and no terminals needed. Just bare wire into the push terminals. Plugged in and mounted.
