Soundqubed hds312 box build ( joe x help please)

Ive got 2 soundqubed hds312 subs and a 2400 watt alpine amp. Looking for some help designing a good ported box to go in back of my dodge journey max dimensions 38 wide 20 deep 16 high can be a little flexible on depth if need be.

So here is a suggestion, power: to subs rated, amp subsonic filter to 28Hz, minimum port clearance 5 1/2", figure is just an assembly guide:

Looks really good going to get the wood and start the build thursday after work gunna have someone with a wood shop help build it ill post some pics when done thanks joe. Also do you thinks it will be better with subs facing up vs towards back of car?

Box came together good after having to either trim peices down or cut new ones all together from lumber yard cutting them wrong. Next time i will just cut them myself. Im a little confused on box volume though i come up with 6.97 gross volume is it supposed to be 5 cubes net? Am i missing something i took displacement of subs and any braces but still not close to 5 cubes and port seems really close to back wall of box about 2 inches or so is that ok ?

Any help would be great thanks.

You didn't calculate w/consideration of the double top baffle.

Gross volume is 6.621 ft3

Port volume is 1 ft cubed

subs displace .18

That leave 5.5 ft3, then subtract bracing.

5.0 ft3 net seems correct

I forgot port duh wasnt thinking lol thanks alot. And does the port being so close to back wall ok?

If you need a custom figure let me know, this is a shared port, port area splits in two but it's still the same even if it may look odd if you are not familiar with it.

The back ports are half the width of the main port when they split when using a center port.

Ok that makes sense now finished box up and now one sub seized up for some reason sounds like motor assembly came loose or something more than likely have to just buy new sub.
