Daddy_
Im trying to figure out what is the best box design as to get the bass into my cabin. Right now I have the subs and port facing the trunk. My back seats do not fold down but I have a ski pass right in the middle. I also have a factory 8" subwoofer in the rear deck lid that is still installed. Was thinking of doing two different box designs but not sure which would work the best or if anyone could recommend something. I have pictures below of my trunk with nothing in it. I also have a step which you will see in the picture and from that step to the top near the rear deck lid its 9" clearance. I think option 1 might be the best? Option 1 - Have the subs firing upwards to the rear deck lid and take the factory sub out. Have the port facing the back seats aimed or built into the ski pass. Option 2 - Not sure if this is possible but the subs facing the trunk. Have the port facing the back seats aimed or built into the ski pass. Joe X
Open up the rear deck and try a different box location / design or 4th bandpass firing through the ski hole. Your option 2 I wouldn't try. Firing the subs up neither as it would start rattling.
Daddy_
My trunk isnt very big to place the subs. If I do go with option one I would have to brace and dynomat the hell out of the rear deck lid. If I do a 4th order design I guess how big of a box would I need on the sealed and ported side.
