Box and Port help needed

Hey All! So I'm switching up my system and am looking for some help. I'm thinking of running a single 12" sub in a ported box in my truck. I'm looking at the Sundown X series, but if anyone has any other suggestions on a single 12", I'm all ears. This is my first foree into ported boxes (always ran sealed enclosures), so I have a couple questions:

Since I'm only running a single sub, can I run (2) ports in the box instead of one? I'm into symmetry, and would like a port on either side of the sub to keep it even. Is there a sound difference if I go this route? Is it not recommended? I can't say I've seen many boxes with more than one port.

My next question is if there is a difference between squared or rounded ports? I don't really have a preference, just want to take into account when I start to build the box.

You can do two ports if you want, it's just impractical, you can run into issues if both ports are not identical so for most people one port is a better solution.

You can accomplish the same with either for the most part, mainly round ports save space but have a cost, the slot ports are "free" but result in a larger box, they can act as bracing some times, the round ports won't.

Roughly that's it.
