Permanent install for xs HF1215 charger?

Recommended Posts

Could I soldier on my own ring terminals in place of the jumper alligator style clamps that come with this charger so I can use it as a permanent installed piece. That way I can just hook up an extension cord and lock up the car overnight ?

If you are planning on leaving it permanently installed I don't see any reason why you couldn't. The alligator clips are just a means of temporary connection, if you will be leaving it installed the ring terminals will be your permanent connection and serve the same purpose of delivering current to your batteries.
