Izzy Posted August 11, 2019 Report Posted August 11, 2019 Hey guys, I've been doing alot of research here and other websites and can't really seem to find a single parallel 6th order design for a ZV4 10" Sundown Subwoofer. I did some reading and ended up making a design and would like to get your input on it. The program i used is WINISD. I did a 2:1 ratio with the lower chamber being tuned to 30Hz and the upper chamber to 60Hz. The available space in my vehicle is Width: 35" Depth18.5 Height: 16.75". I have attached a snapshot of the build from sketchup with the dimensions. I would really like to know if this would work or if adjustments needs to be made. Cheers!

Laying out 6th order bandpass boxes is a lot more hassle than just a ported box. Here are a couple things to think about. What were you getting in WinISD for port velocity numbers with the amount of power you are going to be running? I assume the plan is to mount the sub from the low chamber side? If so, keep in mind this will increase the volume on your high chamber side, not only because of the cutout in the baffle, but because of the volume inside the cone of the subwoofer, its more than you would think. The inside end of the high chamber port looks to be close enough to the baffle that it may shift tuning slightly. Izzy Posted August 11, 2019 Author Report Posted August 11, 2019 I have attached what i was getting for port velocity with WINISD with around 1500w. I have 4 inches from the baffle to the end of the port on the high chamber. I wanted to decrease this but i'm not sure how far these high roll surround will get without hitting the end of the port. Sub will be mounted from the rear side.
