KckrL5s Posted May 7, 2008 Report Share Posted May 7, 2008 Well I toasted the l5s this afternoon after throwing 850+ rms at each for about 3 hours constant, so Im selling them to a friend so he can send them to get new cones and buying a 18"Q with the BP option, gonna be powered off a crunch pzi 1500 till I can get the zx1500.1 that toasted the l5s from my girls older brother. Thinking 7.5-8 cft after dis.31hz with 138 sq in of port. Sub up port back. Will this be about right for a Q? first time messing with anything over a 15". Decaf Posted May 7, 2008 Report Share Posted May 7, 2008 well ther has been another thread about this but im not hunting so.... aparaently the best sounding is around 6.5cuft 100sqin depends on car... and another forum member did 147ish on mtx amp ~2000w rms in 8cuft... tune to 30-1hz and ull be good to go what are you looking for in output, sql, spl? Had it on a MTX TA92001 for a few months and it took it like a champ. The Q is ganna kill you're L5! Good luck on the box mayne. Good luck on the box mayne. thanks for chiming in, i forgot ur screenname, love ur vids accordman has alot of experience with these q's and i have been listening to a 15q in 3cuft@33hz on rf1000bd for about 2 months, and i think it would sound better tuned to 30-31hz and at about 3.5cuft... rock music sounds great too so lets meet halfway 7.5cuft@30 w/90sqin Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
