How important is big gauge jumper wires on a subwoofer? Meaning when wiring a woofer in parallel or series. more specifically a 2500 watt rms woofer.

It won’t make much difference unless you go really small. The wires will carry a lot of power at such a short distance. That and a lot of subs won’t except anything larger than 8 gauge wire. For that power even 12 gauge is probably big enough for the jumpers. Some people might even use 14 gauge. That being said, I tend to use the largest size I can fit on the sub. The price of the wire isn’t much and If I can eliminate that as a weak point it is worth the extra expense to me.
