Sp33dyG Posted June 2, 2008 Report Share Posted June 2, 2008 i also have the 8800 & amd 60 fx 2 processor dual core, dont waste ur money on shit like intel & ati i have the amd fx 62 and the its an ok processor n all but im already thinkin bout upgrading to intel believe me for the same price u can get an 6400+ (faster than FX-62) u can get the E6600 or E6700 and it will murder the 6400+ in performance and overclockability but back on topic id go wit nvidia and price's are dropping cuz nvidia's getting ready 2 release their new cards 9900GTX renamed as the GT280 supposed 2 be faster than 2 9800GTX's in SLi or 9800GX2's in Quad SLi but dont really no till the card comes out supposed 2 be like $700 n supposed 2 come out in july or august Quote the only person i wouldnt let build my box would be Ray. I've had ati and personally I don't like it that well for the money nvdia can beat it and ati has compatibility issues and as far as amd being better than intel i think your completely wrong and I've used both my e6420 2.13ghz is oc'd on a evga nvidia 680i @ 3.13ghz stock cooling doesn't even get warm and I've had it for over a year on that overclock at 40+ hours a week. Oh and my 8800gts 640mb rapes any game out maxed gfx anti-aliasing and 1280x1024 res (19") monitor. Intel and nVidia FTW!!! o and as far as media goes just to throw out this little fyi Disney and Pixar use 4 nvidia fx5500 quadros for their video rendering.
