SesameCreeps Posted February 15, 2020 Report Posted February 15, 2020 Is it true when a woofer is wired to an amp at 1ohm, after box rise, the amp is only putting out around its 2ohm power? Just heard this. Kinda pissed lol. Is it true?
Mike4068 Posted February 15, 2020 Report Posted February 15, 2020 It can be even higher than that. Box rise can easily cause 4x the impedance. It will vary with the frequency being played from 1 ohm to 4 or more.
