Spl/daily Driver

Ok I build a burp box for my 15" L7. The box to 2 cu.ft tuned to 54 hz. Its made out of 1.5 mdf. Its about 4 db louder then my street box. The burp box is really heavy and a pain in the ass to take in and out of the car. So now i'm thinking of doing a box that will I can use for spl & daily lessoning. My daily box is 4 cu.ft tuned to 37hz. So will 3 cu.ft tuned 47 hz be a good middle of the road setup if my RF is 56 hz?

Its all build and test man. I can remember a night my buddy and I built 5 boxes just to get the best overall daily/spl results. Try it out and see. If it doesnt work scrap and rebuild.

remember that your rf will change slightly with box displacement....build it big with lots of port and tune it between 35-45 for daily(most good notes are in that range) and dont be dissappointed with failure. we as a whole should have stock in the lumber trade

When you build your test boxes do you fiberglass them or just build and test then when you find the one you like fiberglass that one? MY girl is pissed the I just spend the money to build this one and i'm already to do again

naw I never finalize a box until Im happy with the results. Its a little harder to glass the seems after its built but at least your not wasting poduct

Your idea with 3 cubic feet is a good idea. But do it with two 6" areoports and make them long for music and used your tuned lengths for spl.
