Ive installed/ ran MANY of the zx series at half rated impedence, not a single prob. Granted, youll need a batt in the back, but you prolly would need that at 2 ohms anyways. Because if it blows on him it won't be under warranty. I've done it before with my Orion 2500ds, I ran @.5ohm but if it blows your screwed.Plus I doubt he'll be able to run it @1ohm all day long.
