Using Y-cables For Sub Amps?

Ok a freind and I are both smart when it comes to car audio, but we have a question that we are not 100% sure the answer too.

You have one set of RCA SUB outs from your HU. You want to connect them to two mom amps, neither amp has a rca output. So you use two Y adapters. Now from what we know, bass is mono becase the human ear pics it up as mono directional, you cant tell were it comes from right?

So our question is, when using the Y cables, should you have one side (R or L) of the HU output going to one sub amp, and the other side going to the other amp?

Or should you use the Y cables so that you get a R and an L to EACH amp?

Here are some pics to help, so what way will be better one or two?

Two

The reason we asked is because we had it hooked up using way one, and i though it was wrong because the subs would be MAYBE be playing a different note at a diff time.

Any comments? I know this sounds like a noob question but sorry lol

Maxxlink. ;)

Yea maxxlink is great, we are using one on a bigger build with 8 brutus amps. But for only two amp, we dont see the need.

Actually...only frequencies below a certain point (around 80Hz) are non-directional. Bass frequencies above that usually can be picked up easily by the human ear.
