Ohmmm Posted June 30, 2020 Report Posted June 30, 2020 The picture attached is a basis of what I'm considering building for a trunk. I'm just not so sure if 2 subs facing up and 2 facing rear will sound good. I've only used sealed enclosures in the past but I can't get 4 12s to fit all rear firing in my trunk, which in my experience sounds the best and hits the hardest in the cabin. I'm dead set on 4 12s, and super curious how well I can make a ported enclosure sound. Does it matter which way the subs are facing as long as the port(s) are facing the right way?
Joshdashef Posted June 30, 2020 Report Posted June 30, 2020 I saw a guy who put subs on the side of his box and port forward into the cabin of a trunk build. As long as the subs are in the correct polarity it should still work just fine but with 4 12s you options are kinda limited for a trunk SMD Tool Map (2024): https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/226545-smd-tool-map-2024/ Great Box Bracing Examples: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/202148-best-way-to-brace-a-box/?do=findComment&comment=3055002
