wamba Posted September 16, 2020 Report Posted September 16, 2020 I'm building a 4 cubic foot box tuned to 32 hz for a new q 15.I'm going to be powering it with a orion xtr 2500.1dz and i'm trying to figure out the proper port area. It will be a slot port and i know the rule of thumb specs but i'm looking for something more specific any help would be appreciated.

1point21gigawatts Posted September 17, 2020 Report Posted September 17, 2020 Because if you want minimal net volume then you must want more bandwidth and a tighter response and I would recommend a different port area rather than a super spl enclosure with slower response with a narrower bandwidth because I would recommend a different port area? wamba Posted September 17, 2020 Author Report Posted September 17, 2020 i was just kinda going on fi specs. i listen to rap music not alot of the rusticals type stuff but wanted it tuned low. fi recommends 3.5cf to 5cf

1point21gigawatts Posted September 17, 2020 Report Posted September 17, 2020 If you are trying to build an sql enclosure then do 4 cubes on about 13sq” per cube. But if you want to do an spl enclosure then do 5 cubes on about 16sq” per cube. “How can we help you?” “And don’t forget to tell them that the customer isn’t always right.”
