myhd87
Im trying to set up my system. My problem is when I use my DD1 to set the gain on my sony XEC1000 electronic cross over I show distortion before the DD1 shows a signal or detects the frequency. I also have an harmon kardon electronic cross over and I get the same results. Any ideas on whats going on?
Dafaseles
This may sound stupid, but change the batteries to some new, good name brand batteries. I've seen this work so many times, it's always the first thing I suggest when there's a problem with a DD1 or CC1 Quote 2011 Chevy Silverado under construction My build log here. Check it out! Dafaseles
Yeah, not saying 100% that's the issue, but it has been so many times. If it's not, I'm sure you figured out your max volume at your head unit? Quote 2011 Chevy Silverado under construction My build log here. Check it out! myhd87
Thats another issue. Max at my kenwood is max volume, i believe thats 40. I then tested it threw my sundown 500.4 and max volume from head unit is only 31 before distortion. Ill have to try new battery and start all over
Dafaseles
Also, if you didn't, I would try both test tones (40 hz and 1000 hz) through your head unit and see if you get different max volumes. Then just use the lower one. It doesn't always happen, but sometimes it does Quote 2011 Chevy Silverado under construction My build log here. Check it out!
