TechnoBass Posted June 23, 2021 Report Posted June 23, 2021 Like the title says...I'm looking for the best amp, preferably JL or Kicker if possible. The sub is dual 2-ohm 300W RMS / 150w per coil. I'm having a hard time finding a mono 300W @ 1-ohm. If there is anything else that is 300W @ 1ohm, let me know. Thanks.
Arthur79 Posted June 23, 2021 Report Posted June 23, 2021 Kicker CXA400.1 - 400w RMS @ 1 Ω Rockford Fosgate Power T500X1br - 500w RMS @ 1Ω Rockford Fosgate Punch PBR300X1 - 300w RMS @ 1 Ω Cerwin Vega HRPM350.1D - 350w RMS @ 1 Ω There aren't a a ton of 300 watt @ 1 Ω amps these days, seems like your options are either run a 2 Ω woofer or entry level power at 1 Ω is around the 500w range. No reason you can't get a 500w amp and dial your gains back a bit. Pretty easy to do with the SMD DD-1, just set your overlap high and you should be good. If you had a 2 Ω woofer there are some good options out there from JL, Kicker, Rockford and Audio Control.
