Enclosure for Sundown SA v.2 15”

 

Hello, 

 

Could anyone help with confirming if the port area is ok for this 15” enclosure? 
 

Sub is a sundown sa15 v2 going to get 1500w RMS. Sundown recommend 44” port area tuned to 35hz. Music will be general hiphop/beat/rnb.

 

Or should I be aiming for 32hz?

44 Square inches is for the sundown suggested box, if you are overpowering the sub or over sizing the box, as for tuning, that application is probably not figuring the end correction because its generally high.

You are looking to do a 0.2 net oversize only I say you don't need a port area correction unless you wanted to run way over rated power, if you want to do something about port area anyways add some 2-3 square inches, no problem.
