OuijaEight
So, I’m helping a buddy build a box for 2 12” wolffram T1 woofers dual 2 ohm, his max box area is 34w, 17H, 40d He wants a tuning of 34hz is 54 sq of port too less for those? car 2018 Hyundai Elantra wattage for each sub is 750 each so 1500 total we came up with this box using an app. Can anybody tell me if this looks like it would sound ok? by the looks of the specs? audiofanaticz
Something looks off with that calculator, or I entered numbers wrong. I'm coming up different with the port volume being 0.96 cubed, tuned to 35hz and the box being 3.29 cubed after displacements not 3.49 cubed. If I had to guess I would say that calculator you're using isn't counting that 3 of the 4 port walls are using the exterior panels of the box so its making the numbers different. That said I cant find what those subs want box wise in terms of size. All I know is they are 750wrms 2.5inch coils with a stamped basket. I can only guess they are using a softer spider which will loosen up more as they get used so having a port that is 54 square inches which is 16.4 square inches of port per cubed seems a little high for that level of a sub and I would probably try to drop that port width down to 3.75 or 3.5 inches just to prevent any possibility of the subs unloading
OuijaEight
So you think shooting for 12 inches per cube would be a better bet for those subs? So like 3.5 x 12 = 32 / 13.5 =3.11 so shoot for a 3 inch opening or go for say 14 inches per cube? Those subs move, he has it in a ported skar box now and at 1500 watts now they get smelly maybe just break in? I know he bumped them lower volume for a week already.. the skar box isn’t great. I have no idea on there specs of those subs can’t find them,

audiofanaticz
Why do you keep changing the box depth? You went from 21 to 20.75 to 20 to now 23.09 now.... I would shoot for 1.75 cubes per sub/3.5 cubed for both subs after all displacements (sub, bracing, port, etc). That is roughly what most 750wrms subs with 2.5 inch coils suggest for a ported box. I'm sure the displacement of those woofers will be about 0.14 cubic feet each which is 0.28 for both, not 0.40 like you're using. I would go with this: Height - 15 inches Width - 32 inches Depth - 21 inches Port height - 13.5 inches Port Width - 3.75 inches Port Length - 26 inches Port tuning - 33.8 Hz Port area - 50.63 inches / 14.34 square inches of port per cube Net volume - 3.53 cubic feet after all displacements. I would probably add a 2nd baffle to the box as well to flush mount the woofers.
OuijaEight
Depth changes with sub box pro, when u change port, and sq per inch, thx for the help, those subs have a 3 stack mag which is pretty big I found their older model that says 0.2 on them but they changed the model some,
