bmwking
Long time no see SMD fam! I've got a 2015 Mini cooper s that I'm currently running 2 DC M3 8s on a Taramps Bass 1200. backed up by a 180 amp alt and a 48ah bank of headways (overkill electrical is best electrical). I find myself wanting more boom. I've been looking at some decent budget stuff and have landed on a single 1500 rms Skar VxF 12 and a Skar Skv2 1500.1 to match with it. Being a Mini, space is at a premium, so I'm wondering if any box pros could help with a design for me? Total dimensions available are: 37" width 13.5" height 17.5" depth at bottom 12" depth at top So kind of a wedge design probably. I'd like to go ported if possible, tuned in the low to mid 30s to still be musical but handle rebassed stuff well too So what do you all think? is there any hope? I can't find anything specific but from photos it looks like it's 1" maybe 1.5" I do see that mounting depth is 8.5" with a motor diameter of 8.6" Also, should I try to do sub and port back or sub back port up? I'm pretty handy with wood cuts so it doesn't matter about slot or round port, I'm easy
Joe X
This should work BUT sub must be reverse mounted:

Is the reverse mount required for the pole vent to have proper breathing room?
Joe X
Here is a second suggestion, this one can be used with the sub mounted normal: Note: H needs to be 14" for proper pole vent clearance.
