Im not a huge resin fan at all. dont like the itchy sensation with resin and matts and dont like the patience either haha. I do use it from time to time though. It "seems" dectnly priced haha. Big P Posted June 18, 2008 Report Posted June 18, 2008 vinylester blows balls. I got some by accident in Oregon. It didn't bond to the regular resin I had already layed and cured. It also had a hard time bonding to it self after it cured. The guy at ace hardware also said it never stops curing so over time it will come part if you let it dry and then try and lay another layer. He said it really depends on the weather to. So i would try and mix it and pore it all at one time. But thats just my exsperence with some fucked up amp racks i made.

But thats just my exsperence with some fucked up amp racks i made. did you prep the surface before you layed new resin? because thats all is needed to get this resin to hold tight. you can grind on this stuff 10min after sat out in sunlight.(and if you're heavy handed with the hardener, you can cause this resin to smoke)
