DaSmit0890 Posted August 12, 2024 Report Posted August 12, 2024 Building a 5cuft box for 2 Fi Sp4v1 12s. Running @ 5k total. Modeled the box in SubBox Pro and I'm getting a different port length compared to Winisd when I was checking for port velocity. In SubBox pro if I put in 113sqin of port (this is right in the middle of the 96-130sqin that Triticum's calc calls for), that gives me an inside port measurement of 8.85 x 13.74 and calls for a length of 46.46. Winisd calls for a length of 54.63. At this size WinIsd is modeling 24.837 m/s which works great, just want to verify proper port size for the build.
Joe X Posted August 17, 2024 Report Posted August 17, 2024 WinISD do not support slot ports only non slotted, the box pro site I checked only once and tuning was somewhat off, the tritricum calculator is for people that won't use modeling software, if you did enter correctly the data into WinIsd and you got 25 m/s then you are ok but honestly more than 50 square inches for a single 12 sounds high, unfortunately don't have the parameters for your sub so I can't really verify.
