One sub hitting harder than other

I have one subwoofer hitting harder than other. The system is set up from stock head unit to a lc2i to a ct sounds at1400.1 to 2 Sundown u12 v.2 4ohm DVc wired to 1 ohm parallel mono channel. The sub on the outside (last sub in the circuit if that makes sense) hits harder than the sub between the outside sub and the amp. I don't hear any crunching in the VC. I did notice however that it gets hotter than the other one as well. What should I check first or steps to diagnose in a methodical way.

Easiest way is measuring (dc resistance) each coil of both subs with a $10 multimeter which you can get anywhere, even in walmart.

If all the coils measure the same 3.0-3.6 ohm  then the subs are at least electrically healthy and you avoid doing other tests.

 

If you want to do a cheap test swap the sub positions, if the lack of output changes position then you know the issue is due to the subs being different somehow.

 

If the lack of output does not change position then the issue is due to the wiring or maybe the enclosure.

It was just a shitty connection. Rewired and they are slamming couldn't be happier.

Congrats, that was the likely outcome since your amp rms cannot touch those subs together al all.
