Enclosure for a PIONEER TS-W121SPL

HI .  So I have been experimenting with woodwork in different capacities over the years. And for the first time I am tempted to make a sub box for my pioneer spl. 

i can't figure out how to calculate anything. i gotta make something decently sized to fit in the trunk of a 2012 corolla. one option i have sofar thought of is to just make a 1.5 cubic ft sealed box and be done with it.. but then i dont have a very powerful amp . and im assuming sealed enclosures require more power. im running a rockmars 4800 for the past decade n a half.. i dont think i have the heart or the budget to get a new amp yet.. 

please anyone with any ideas? ive got all the MDF n Fiber board lying around.. all the tools and enough skill...  but the intrigue and desire to try this is killing me.

There's quite a few calculators out there that can do this for you if you search the forums.
But, I will say, you can't design a box WITHOUT knowing what the subwoofers specs are and what it calls for.

 

Just a quick google search of "Pioneer TS-W121SPL" and the first result brought me here https://speakerboxlite.com/subwoofers/pioneer-ts-w121spl/specifications

For the first box design, don't select the "BP6P" option, just choose vented.

Do yourself a favor and ditch that laser amp for something of better quality, and class d monoblock. Your electrical will thank you.
