pstone11
Just a quick question for everybody. I'm most likely picking up a pair of 15" Dual 4 ohm L7's next week for the Suburban. Right now I narrowed it to three choices for a pair of amps to push them. Kicker zx1000.1's for $370 ea, Alpine MRD-M1005's for $319 ea, or a pair of refurb Kenwood KAC-9102D for 199 ea. Running 2ohm, the Kicker and alpine do 1000w each, and the Kenwood does 850. I'm leaning towards the Alpine, but totally open to any suggestions for speakers or amps, or any used if you have them for sale. I'm trying to stay in the 600's for a pair of amps, but hey, you never know... Thanks Quote Check out StoneSounds to see my recent builds.Or look at the Flying White Facebook Page! meade916
Out of those choices, I would personally choose the Kicker amps myself. splbeast
I have a 1 15" L7 in my Cavalier and I say go with a pair of Hifonics BX2006D. I have the 2005D. Same circuits, just different looks. It never heats up and is well worth the money, just check out my records!! ;D Quote T.S.P.

pstone11
Well, I'm not so much into the Hifonics, I think it's down to the alpines at the moment, they have the power for what I need..... I have no records right now except for some 45's and jimmy buffet LP's from mom and dad.... But I think I'll just go ahead and get with Steve and cook up something worthwile................Jimmy Buffet is still O.K. though, Thanks, Pat Quote Check out StoneSounds to see my recent builds.Or look at the Flying White Facebook Page! dmanson
look into hifonics bro. i have a Brutus 1500d on my two T212d4s and they slam. the amps has never gotten warm. although the subs are only getting 750 rms a piece they slam like crazy with that amp, thumps up for hfonics, i'm looking into either getting a bigger hifonics amp or T20001bd, i'd like the T20001bd but whichever i come up on the cheapest. pstone11
Crazy - Well, I just got one more Idea - How about just one Fosgate T20001BD for both the subs. I can pick one up for about 600 with shipping. But one other question, will it still be best to stick with the dual 4 ohm 15L7's, switch to the 2 ohm, or what? meade916
if your going to get a RF 2000.1bd (which by the way i HIGHLY recommend) then keep the dual 4's. Run each dual 4 in parallel which makes a 2 ohm load on each. Parallel those up and run em straight to the amp for a nice 1 ohm load....PERFECT. If your buying that amp from a reputable source and have no issues then i PROMISE you will be in love with it. :^ Quote All SMD products + MORE available at my store here! https://wccaraudio.com/ Subscribe to My Youtube Channel!
