i like fi
My btl isnt perfectly centered(aligned). If you push on left side on cone vs right side, one of the sides will rub against pole. My question is if its ok like that, because i think it might b rubbing at high volume. So if the former wears to the voice coil the the coil will short out? 15" BTL in TTB MMats 3500.1 optima and everstart max. Clarion indash tv. i like fi
Uhh......You're applying uneven force on the cone when you're pushing on just one side..... uneven cone aligment, me be reconed by some1. it i press in the center its ok, but if i press on 1 side its ribbing and other side its not ribbing. you can try that on your sub(any sub). The voive coil is isolated from the aluminum former but if former wears out from sub abuse and ribbing the coil againt the pole peace the coil will short out. maybe the is a way to check, Press on the cone, let the former touch the pole and measure resistance? Im worried i will blow the amp. 15" BTL in TTB MMats 3500.1 optima and everstart max. Clarion indash tv.
