ISO Posted June 7, 2008 Report Posted June 7, 2008 I can't remember how to figure up current draw for amps. Someone help. I need the formula that goes: I know the Watts. I know the efficientcy. I know the voltage. I want to know how much current the above item will draw. Example: I want to know how much current a class A/B amp will draw that is 100x2 at 4 ohm and 60% efficient at 13.8 volts Isobaric - Refers to the practice of coupling two drivers together to make them act as one. ISO Posted June 7, 2008 Author Report Posted June 7, 2008 I know how to figure my current draw into a 100% efficient amp. I need to know how to figure in the efficientcy. 200 watts divided by 13.8 equals 14.5 amps of current draw at 100% efficientcy. Now if that amp is 60% efficient what do I do next? IH8PunkRok Posted June 7, 2008 Report Posted June 7, 2008 as far as watts i know u take amps times volts then multiply by efficiency (i.e. 0.6 in ur case) -Matt2005 Dodge Magnum RTJVC KD-AVX1 2 PPI S580.2 Obsidian Audio ST1 Horn Tweeters PRV 8MB450s Audio Legion 3500.1D 2 RE MT 18s 360 ah LiFePO4 BatterySHCA 2/0 155.2 @ 29 hzKicker CVR 15's buildDD 3512e buildMini T-Line Build(6) 8s BuildNightshade 15s Wall BuildMagnum AB XFL 12s BuildNewest Magnum Build

ISO Posted June 7, 2008 Author Report Posted June 7, 2008 Thanks Isobaric - Refers to the practice of coupling two drivers together to make them act as one.
