If it's a Chevy they tend to have a low voltage at idle when they are first started.

They usually get up around 14.1 after a minute or two.

its a cadillac.(and if it keeps fu^$@#g with me, it will be a very crushed cadillac) :mad: . but do any of you know what would cause my idle voltage to be below 14

GM's have low voltage at idle. My alternators have a regulator modification to bring that up to 14.7.
