dwright27 Posted June 9, 2008 Report Share Posted June 9, 2008 ok so this guy i work with named jimmy has a Colorado with a cowl hood and 2 10's. i havent heard it in person yet but he said my 18 was distorted because it was so big and that if i put it on a distortion box at a shop it would read higher then his 10's. have any of you ever heard of a distortion box?? so i got to talk about amps and cd players, and he said his amp and head unit was 2 G's. he has a pioneer cd player, like the lowest model walmart carries, and an american pro 800 watt amp. he thinks both of his subs are getting 800 watts. and he is the type of person who just thinks he is right all the time no matter how many ways you prove him wrong. he didnt even know what series and parellel was. or what ohms he was running his woofers at, just that his subs were bridged and they were both seeing 800 watts. i couldnt help but laugh and thought i would share Quote 2006 F-150 4 DC XL M2 18's Walled Daily Driver XS Power 4 DC 3.5kw Team DC Team S.P.L. He was like uh, uhh, whats it called. Oh yea 2 12" Duals. Im like LOL in side then I asked what kind of amp he has and he was like im not too sure, we got a really good deal on it at Best Buy. And he was like its loud as hell, when you are in it you cant turn it up all the way. If my BTL werent blown, i would have shown him some lows on the BTL but I guess that will have to wait a few weeks.
