PaulO2288 Posted June 9, 2008 Report Posted June 9, 2008 Anyone know where to find out how to find the resonant frequency of your car/truck without metering? I know measureing the lenght from front windshield to rear windshield, but couldent find the rest from searching.

Play the notes or tunes at a low level (vol 10) put a penny on your dash and see which note moves the penny harder, faster... or you can listen for the top of the windshield to rattle a different sound, you can't miss it... it pretty obvious... When I was playing a 50hz tone and a 60hz tone, the 60 sounded louder to the ear, but the 50hz had more air movement and felt like it was pressureizeing better, and the 60hz sounded too high but it sounded louder to the ear. I know loud to the ear and to the meter are 2 compltely different games I dont have the chance to make 2 boxs only 1, and I dont want to go to the meter to high in frequency. Any advice?
