ISO Posted June 14, 2008 Report Posted June 14, 2008 Thats a good score with what you are running. Congratulations. Man just start playing with stuff is all I can tell you. Move things around. Make soft things solid and stiffen up things. Isobaric - Refers to the practice of coupling two drivers together to make them act as one. ISO Posted June 15, 2008 Report Posted June 15, 2008 Well it looks like you have maxed out the potential of the products you own. Byron we need to know what kind of vehicle you have first. All I know now is you can run a 3 cubic foot box. Unforunetly I wouldn't put much more power on the Type R so thats out of the question and I'm guessing you are useing the biggest box possible for it. As far as power goes I highly recommend a 1000 watt Class D amp. 1000 wats and the rite sub should get you there. Stephen Posted June 15, 2008 Report Posted June 15, 2008 i did 142 legal on the TL with 2 type-r's off 1100rms, subs were in 2 cubic feet each to 34hz, in my car they peaked at 41. not bad for a truck car. i say get another and a 1000-1200 rms amp edit:spelling you can cook bacon shirtless if you're not a pussy...lol not hatin, but am i wrong here it looks as if the amp is not grounded its hooked directly to the battery. it that the way it should be. DC POWER
ISO Posted June 15, 2008 Report Posted June 15, 2008 I want to know if he has the room to fit another sub. Isobaric - Refers to the practice of coupling two drivers together to make them act as one. All Night Long Posted June 15, 2008 Report Posted June 15, 2008 I would try making the box a little smaller like 2 cuft and tunning it higher at about 38hz. I did a 12" Type R in a 1987 Ford Escort hatchback in 2cuft off of 900 watts and it did 144 and change on the dash. It wasn't a trunk car, but I think that maybe 3 cuft is a little on the large size for that sub.
