FI_Aaron
uh, why do u have the volume on your alpine at 32? distortion usually starts around 27-30 cant be good Quote Lets Go Ski
ptcary
uh, why do u have the volume on your alpine at 32?distortion usually starts around 27-30 cant be good That's what I'm wonderin, Alpines cut out their internal processing at 23, and the volume maxes out at 35. Other than that it appears to be poundin pretty hard. reinke
i used my step dad's O-scope. i clip at 32 my cousin said that was probably where i would be and he was right. the internal amp has been broken for awhile. i am using my amps for all sound. someone told me though that if you turn the volume up and it does not get louder that that is where you clip. reinke
its only on the internal amp. if you have the "power IC" function turn it off once you dont need the speakers ran to your HU anymore. it will help with distortion and stop the cuttin out of midbass. i contacted alpine directly about the same problem. i thought i bought a deffective HU. they said they put that feature in there to help with the possibility of blowing speakers when hooked directly up to the HU.
