audiofanaticz
So, the multiplyier was the problem? lol. weird how it got raised by it self, was it running faster then it should of been (overclocked)? mem test is a good program, along with prime 95. Good luck hopefully your issues are fixed Edited July 10, 2008 by audiofanaticz
Cdizzle
Issue is not fixed... I just ran Windows RAM diagnostics from a floppy upon boot and let it go through 2 passes of tests and everything tested fine... I dont believe it was the RAM. My computer did just recently do the BSOD and when I booted it back up it said that I might have possible Hard drive failure and recommends to back everything up. It said it was either that that caused the BSOD or driver conflict which is what I believe the problem is. In device manager it recognizes the new processor and will not let me update the driver, I believe this is cause the driver is the most up to date one. Also the computer never freezes while I am on the computer, only while it is idle... Quote Damn Thiefs
razor5070
your going to have to remove the old driver and install a new one, but i'm sure you knew that. your going to need a xp live cd for this. This is a very complicated job, the only other thing is to reinstall windows. and i'm not going to take 45+ minutes explaining if your not going to do it. just tell me if you want to do it and i'll link and explain how. Well I cant remember if I uninstalled the driver, but I am sure that I would have cause I know with any new upgrade you have to do that for a fresh new updated driver... Maybe I was just stuck in shock mode that I got my driver and just threw it in there I cant remember now... I am thinking about getting 2 identical hard drivers in the near future to run in raid 0 so maybe I will just stick it out till then... What is xp live?
