my wife wanted something a little prettier than what she has now. so i decided to redo everything. her current set-up is 2 lanzar 12'sand a SSL 800. her next one will be 4 10's and 2 SSL 850's.

the old set-up:

bought this in a pawn shop in florida.

the subs that shocked people. i took 2nd place against adam triffonoff with this car.

i really like this amp. 2 will me more than enough for her.

i bought a case of liquid nails wheni did my truck build. it was on sale for $13.99 for the whole case.

1 full sheet of 3/4" MDF and a 1/2" handy panel

i am gonna head out to the man cave and clean up tonight. tomorrow will be a little bit of tear down and measuring. and hopefully by this weekend i can start rebuilding. i just gotta get the amps. thats gonna take the longest. i already have the subs. BTW if anyone wants the Sony HU i will sell it. $25+shipping. it works fine but she misses the alpine. she asks and she shall receive. after all she is my sugar momma. (literally)

yeah it should get pretty loud. she is already louder than my truck. i am gonna keep the planet audio mids/highs. just put a amp on them. alpine 9883 or the or the idx-300 i think it is. i stopped by harbour freight for some clamps and shit. i will upload pics later. wipeout is on now.

update on the man cave clean up. not bad for 2 hours work.

this is my fiberglassing corner/the place my wife empties her car on the weekends.

looking into the cave. what a freegin wreck.

now the fun stuff. 4" clamps, angle finder, step drill bits. i needed the drill bits for years and harbour freight had them 3 for $8.87. i had no clamps at all.

i also picked up some 36" bar clamps there too.

and a 48" level. this is mainly gonna be used for my straight edge for my circular saw.

i actually found this in my moms neighboors garbage. its cotton i think but will work great for the box. (i figured out what im doin finally)

the 4 clamps, drill bits,angle finder and a new brad nailer cost me $40 even. i love harbour freight.

i still need to clean a decent amout before the rebuild begins. OCD sucks. i hate messes. and for the last month i have not stepped foot in my garage. when i did last night this is what i saw. i flipped out on my wife bad. most of this shit is hers. she just throws her crap from her car everywhere before she leaves for work.

well i picked up her new HU today its a panasonic cq-rx100u.

i liked this one better than the alpine i was gonna get because of the EQ adjustability in it. plus my store had this in stock and i did not want to wait for us to make a order so i could get the alpine. my boss loves panasonic HU's. this is my first time dealing with them so we will see how well i like them

dont hate on the lovely cowboy bed sheets. we got them at wally world for $1.00. they were in a clearance bin.

i have to wait for my boss to order another dynamat trunk kit then i can pick one up. hopefully next week i can either get the 2 SSL 850's or the other SSL 800 i need. i already have 1 SSL 800, but i am not sure if i want to go with 2 monoblocks or 2 2 channel amps yet.

i am still debating on the box.

it is either gonna be 3 10's facing the rear and 1 facing up or 2 facing the rear and 2 facing up. which one will be louder in a '04 cavalier?

so a update on her cavi and my f-150. her car is still gonna get the 4 10's but it is gonna take a little bit for me to get them. i guy i was going through backed out like a bitch. he said that he couldn't let them go for the price we shook hands for. so fuck 'em. so i am gonna se the box i built last year for the lanzars she has now and just make some trim panels on the sides of the box. and mount the amp off to the side. pretty much the same equiptment except the new HU. i am just gonna make it look better.

now for the best shit ever. how many people have ever seen 8 (yes 12's in a extended cab truck without a blow threw. my boss handed me 4 memphis 12's tonight as a bonus for busting my ass at work. so i am gonna run my 4 power acoustic pw-2's, and 4 memphis PR-12's in my truck. all inside the cab. the memphis 12's will be in a sealed box and ran with a 1500.1 the PA 12's will be in there same downfired ported box. i am gonna run switches to both amps so i can turn them on and off. my plan is to use the PR's for daily and then all 8 for competitions or for when i want to shit on people. this is not gonna be a huge powered syste, or a loud set-up. i know 8 12's should be pretty fucking loud but this is mainly to see the looks on peoples faces when i tell them i have 8 12's in my truck.
