It's a 2004 and it has a single Alpine type R 12 in and off of 800 watts and that thing rattles all to hell. I think that it sounds better when the seats are up because it gives some support to the rear deck. I'm going to add some sound dapening to the car and see if that helps. In your case you have to decide if gas mileage is worth it to sacrifice for louder bass. Imo I say no, but you could trade your car for a hatchback and get the best of both worlds. That's what I did. I had a Ford Escort which had a trunk and I got a Ford Focus ZX3. I put my level 4 12's into the Focus and DAMN! It sounds like a whole new setup compared to the Escort. Unless you cut back drastically on driving or your rich i would stick with the car man I dont think the amount of noise difference would be worth it unless you were competing alot!!!
