Decaf Posted July 7, 2008 Report Posted July 7, 2008 I have DTA for each 4 speakers and the sub on my headunit.... so anyone who uses a dta, do you notice a difference in the timing of the notes for the sub it makes a difference with the interiors but im wondering what it will do to the subwoofer's signal and if Digital Time Alignment is used often
kingsuv Posted July 7, 2008 Report Posted July 7, 2008 I have it set on mine. It helps the sub snap in the front and not sound like it's way in the back of the truck. I mean the first minute is ok but that thing just really starts digging deeper and deeper in your earhole till you cant stand it no more. Seems like it does it with relative ease....16 12's on 8 amps.........gotta love it.
Decaf Posted July 8, 2008 Author Report Posted July 8, 2008 so do you measure from each speaker to a specific 1 point in space or match up left side speakers to left ear, right side to right ear i know its negligible but its a difference of 3-4"

The Alpine H-701 does it for me But yes, you would measure to the listening postion. As a start. You then would fine tune by ear from that point. Designing, building, and shipping boxes. Mine came with the 8 ch processor. Using that makes it quicker. Even then, you will still have to tweak it a bit. Designing, building, and shipping boxes. Decaf Posted July 8, 2008 Author Report Posted July 8, 2008 yeah so it definately moves the "punchiness" of the bass forward... crazy how it can make such a change by delaying a signal... can you have a good sq system without dta or is it considered a necessity?
