Getting Ready For Thrusdays' Wiring Install, I Made A Chart

Recommended Posts

Guys, I made a wiring diagram to see if I will be wiring up my Tahoe properly. Can you look at it and tell me if there is anything wrong with it? So far this is just for my SUB amp, currently the door speakers will be left out for the time being (yuck!) as the HU is powering them for the next 2-3 weeks till the new 4x90 audioque amp is out. Appreciate the time fellas........

Looks ok.

I would like to see the amp grounded to the back batteries, You will need 2 more fuses at the rear batteries from the supply lines from the front.

Then at some time, run 2 runs of ground to the back, It will make a big difference

not many cars can get me to pluggin my ears but this one.......damn. I mean the first minute is ok but that thing just really starts digging deeper and deeper in your earhole till you cant stand it no more. Seems like it does it with relative ease....16 12's on 8 amps.........gotta love it. :)

Is it recommended to do 2 runs of 1/0ga from ALT to BATT, or is 1 run just the same? Also, I am going to run 2 runs of 1/0ga to the rear batt, but do I also run 2 runs of ground, and power to the other rear batt. (Rear batts are wired together obviously. Just a little confussed, but im sure you all will fix me straight.

the more wire you put in it the better. if you have the cash that is. like kingsuv said wire the amp + & - to the back batts and when ever you get a chance do two runs of 1/0 for grounds to the back too.

someone may think other wise about this but i say go ahead and put it in. its better than just grounding to your body... could use the 4 gauge and ground it to the body of you vehicle. i say there is no such thing as overkill when it comes to power/ground wire, it can only help you.
