Rs max rating is half that of the X, and the X is more of an SQ sub where as the R is a budget SQL/spl oriented woofer. Both are excellent for the price though. Also, bb may not carry the 15s IN stock, but if you work there, i'd just ask if they could order them for you personally, they should have no problem with getting some for you.
