not to be an ass but (i am a smoker as well) you are talking about getting 3 min smoke breaks every 2 hours... you are 17? legally you should not even be smoking... but about you not getting other breaks, that's bullshit that they expect you to work in a fast pace environment (if its a busy subway) without any breaks. i work at a plating factory, i run a machine that has 40 racks and some times over 200 parts per rack... set the machine on a two min timer and i have to take all of the plated parts off and put the raw parts on in two min. i start at 2 pm get a 15-20 min break at 4:30 then another break at 7:30. and get off at 10 but this place is by the book. and not to mention that it gets well over 100* in there even if its only 80* outside. i would def look into it bro. i would die if i didn't get a break. shitty jobs are a great learning experience. shit my first job was at target as a cart boy. lol i will never work retail again.

good luck with this.

I agree David when I lived in rancho I worked at a KFC for a while and ended up quiting because I was being abused and overworked because I was 16 and didnt know any better. They where working me till past midnight (against the law for a minor) and giving me the shit for not knowing how everything ran right away.

Yup go through that everynight at denny's they don't care about the laws...

also, I work in a movie theater, and unless it is an extremely slow night, we never close in less than an hour. Payless took an hour and the pizza place I worked at took an hour and a half with two people. I can definitely see a busy subway taking way longer than a half an hour.

Well atleast your stores close mine doesn't try cleaning everything up while ppl continue to arrive Denny's 24/7 FTL!
