finkster Posted July 21, 2008 Report Share Posted July 21, 2008 (edited) I bought a wiring harness from wal mart...said it works for 97 explorer...I dunno if this includes the XLT....but i bought it and hooked it up and the second clip doesnt fit...the harness for all the speaker + and -...is there a special adapter i need...Im so bummed right now EDIT: the clip that doesnt fit has 16 wire going in to the harness on the factory side... savageracer Posted July 21, 2008 Report Share Posted July 21, 2008 does it have the factory sub in back?If it does you need a special harness i was given a price of $50 for it.I ended up removing everything and ran rca to amps and ran you speaker wire. EDIt..... ^^^he^^^ beat me too it. =( if you have the premium sound like i did, you might have to buy a "special" harness for the factory amp going to your door speakers.
