Frozenbritches Posted August 3, 2008 Report Posted August 3, 2008 going with the advice given and such I'm going to be porting my L7's and switching out the BOX...adding an HC800 to the back, and doing the big 3 upgrade...I have pictures coming, right now all I have is a picture of my head unit and car, soon to get pictures of the current setup so that you can see it before I redo it. Entire installation done by me...not claiming alot of experience but I been beating on these alone for about 10 months. yes I did the carpeting myself as well..it's flawless Just to warn for the next picture post...lots of wires...I really am starting to remove it all for the next upgrade of ports and new battery etc...gonna get two terminals and just direct it to the amp .. Temporary mids amp..4 channel xplod...nice right lol old lightning amp 800 that hummed so I switched it out for the xplod for now..and my current woofer amp My yellowtop under the hood.. and alternator more pics of the l7's...and my custom own made box.. Don't waste you money on an epicenter.They only work if you listen to non-heavy bass music, I.E. rock, classical, talk radio. BigPimpin91's Banging Music

BigPimpin91 Posted August 4, 2008 Report Posted August 4, 2008 What about a soundstream one?...I hear they can direct the bass...I had one guy direct it into the ground and you could feel it on your ass..it was weird..You should be good with properly setting your gains.I can adjust my Zune and H/U settings if a song doesn't have enough bass, or is recorded at a low volume. Frozenbritches Posted August 4, 2008 Author Report Posted August 4, 2008 This is true...I want new RCA's cause the ones I got running are the scosche or what ever...trash..but it's hard cause I'd have to run them through the whole car lol..disheartening...lazy Everything is now bought and on the way, hope to see it all by around thursday if I'm super lucky...construction of the box will take.......a while...I still have to go get wood cut by tuesday..then lots of patience and time to screw and glue it all together...probably going to put a support of some type in it..doubt i'll need it though... If anyone has a suggestion on a ported 2 15" L7 enclosure and as to what cubes it should be let me know.. I mean the first minute is ok but that thing just really starts digging deeper and deeper in your earhole till you cant stand it no more. Seems like it does it with relative ease....16 12's on 8 amps.........gotta love it.
