str86diesel Posted August 7, 2008 Report Share Posted August 7, 2008 I'm partial to AFE filters.... AFE is actually owned and operated by ex K&N engineers. They broke off, when they pointed out some flaws in the design of the K&N and management wouldn't let them fix the issue. So these guys started their own company and are making a much better filter. str86diesel Posted August 7, 2008 Report Share Posted August 7, 2008 Yes, I've used 4" PVC pipe and Silocone joints for years. I was able to get better air volume from PVC pipe than aftermarket kits.
