ptcary Posted August 8, 2008 Report Posted August 8, 2008 (edited) I have been getting a lot of PM's about my gauge in the center console, so I decided to post up some info. It is an Aeroforce Interceptor scanguage from http://www.aeroforcetech.com/ They cost $239 and are presently available for american cars/trucks, and Mazdas. It plugs into the OBD port under the dash and has no other connections to the car. It is "read only" and does not alter performance in any way. It comes in various colors and can display two parameters onscrean at at a time. It does have a performance meter and shift lights too! If you need more, you can piggyback two gauges, they can be ordered direct online. I am not affiliated with Aeroforce in any way, though I did some prototype testing on the gauge for them. Here is a list of what it can show: RPM MPH Intake Air Temperature (post Intercooler) Ambient Air Temperature (pre Intercooler) Engine Coolant Temperature Exhaust Gas Temperature (PCM Calculated) Transmission Temp. (auto trans) Manifold Pressure (vacuum/boost) displayed in PSI Fuel Temperature Battery Voltage Battery Temp Alternator % Injector Pulse Width in msec. I mean the first minute is ok but that thing just really starts digging deeper and deeper in your earhole till you cant stand it no more. Seems like it does it with relative ease....16 12's on 8 amps.........gotta love it.

kingsuv Posted August 8, 2008 Report Posted August 8, 2008 Fuck that ain't no lie. It kind of works out, mama doesn't want to get rid of the a-pillar for some gauages like I have in the Excursion so this might work. Quote Designing, building, and shipping boxes. Yeah, lots of parameters, I assume your X is a turbo-deisel, and if you don't have to buy one for the wifes truck, that saves some money! A lot of the turbo PT owners replaced gauges with this one, maybe do a dual pod, with an aeroforce and run a second manual gauge that you use a lot, or go for two aeroforce! When you have time, go through their whole website, I think they have the actual owners manual online, and they have a forum to, look in there for any other Ford posts to see waht other truck owners have to say. I have had mine for almost a year now, and love it! FYI, it also scans for and can clear OBD trouble codes if you ever have any, it will only display the code, so you still have to look it up online. I'm scared to even spend time looking at it. just a brief over view and I was raising it higher on my need to get list. Quote Designing, building, and shipping boxes.
