Best way to aim ports for a Scion TC (hatchback)

Recommended Posts

My friend switched cars and now has a scion tc instead of a toyota camry...

He wants to put two 12" L7s in there and wants me to do all the labor work which I agreed to.

Originally after looking at the trunk I was going to do the subs facing the rear and ports coming out the sides like this <>

I'm going to do about 2.7cubic ft per sub and one 4" aeroport per sub.

Would I be better of aiming the ports at the rear window (hatch)...

Here's a pic to give you guys a better under standing

(this is not his personal car, just another tc)

I'm pretty sure im going to do subs facing the rear im just undecided on where to aim the ports.

Ehh right now these are the dimensions he gave me:

40"- W

16"- D

14"- H

That gives me about 4.03cubic ft (38.5 x 14.5 x 12.5).

Divided by two is about 2cubic ft still without port and sub displacement...Not enough for two 12" L7s..

Going to raise the box two inches and see what happens.
